How to actually read an event quote

VAT inclusion, actual-cost items, and separately billed items — the three things easiest to miss.

Line up two quotes and compare only the totals, and you can end up misled. One quote might include VAT, another might not. One line item might be billed at actual cost later, another might already be a fixed price. Here's how to read a quote, using zzzarit's own policy as the example.

Start with VAT — included or not

Every amount zzzarit quotes includes VAT. That's not universal in this industry — when you get a quote from any vendor, check VAT treatment line by line first; a VAT-excluded figure grows 10% at payment time.

Actual-cost items don't show up as a fixed price

Wristbands, badges, and other printed handouts are billed at actual cost. Because material and quantity shift the underlying cost, the quote stage only gives a range — the final number is confirmed once the order is placed.

Separately billed — what doesn't show up in the total

  • Shipping
  • KakaoTalk, SMS and email beyond the 1,000 included sends (billed at cost per send)
  • Display wall content design (the display itself is a flat daily rate; design is quoted separately)
  • Additional custom design beyond the one included per event — negotiated separately

FAQ

Is VAT included in the quoted amount?

Yes — every zzzarit amount is quoted VAT-included. VAT-excluded quotes are common in the industry, so normalize to a VAT-included basis when comparing vendors.

Why don't actual-cost items show an exact price on the quote?

Because material and quantity change the underlying cost. The final number is confirmed once the order is placed.

Is shipping included in the quote?

No, shipping is billed separately.

Is on-site event staff included in the quote?

Not in the base configuration. On-site staffing is a separate per-person, per-day option. Installation site visits and staff training are always handled directly by zzzarit.

How does payment work?

Either card payment on the event day, or a tax invoice — in which case work begins once 100% of the deposit is confirmed.

Where can I get an exact quote?

Pick a configuration on the website and a detailed quote is sent to your email.
